About Us
Greetings From The Steeves Family!!
Hi! We are a family of four, Andrew our oldest son is 18 and
getting ready to attend Collage (they do grow fast, don't they?).
Aksel our youngest is 7 and a very good helper with the
puppies. Which he enjoys immensely, spending hours playing
with them. Aksel is severely hearing impaired and also has
ADHD and is the main reason we got into breeding these
Awesome dogs. We try to provide an environment of constant
stimulation for the little guy and he relates to the animals
fantastically. Aksel's love of animals comes honestly as Debbie
our fearless leader and My beautiful wife has always dreamed
of becoming a vet and being surrounded by animals. (looks like
she made it!). Myself, I have always been an animal enthusiast
having a special bond with most animals I have always had a
special animal in my life and have extensive experience with live
stock handling and birthing. We take Animal husbandry very
seriously at the Steeves's Funny Farm and all our animals are
spoiled rotten and loving life to it's fullest.
Being responsible breeders we fought with the real issues of
bringing new dogs into the world when so many are suffering in
rescues and kennels, after much thought and soul searching we
decided that if we were to do this we needed to do it right and
have all our breeding stock medically screened and genetically
tested to insure the health of the animals being bred and insure
the health of the pups we offer to our customers. It is our only
wish to provide only the finest, healthiest animals possible.
We also decided that if we were to bring animals into the world
we would do our best to help the ones already here and started
the Red Deer Internet Pet Store
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/reddeerinternetpetstore/
To date we have re homed over 300 animals from Horses to
Geckos and everything in between. We, are selves have
rescued many reptiles our current collection is 29 different
species of reptiles. We have also been the responsible parties
for 3 serious mill closures in Alberta and work closely with our
area SPCA.
Lastly this is a letter that we received from the Bugg Group and
is why we cannot stress enough the importance of doing your
research before you buy a pup of any breed

I am so sorry that your little guy (and your pocket-book)
went
through this.
I got my puppy from another member on this board (Mark &
Deb Steeves).
I have a BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY, SMART, HAPPY,
WELL-SOCIALIZED, and, yes,
HUMOROUS Bug. If she could talk, she'd tell jokes all day
long. I
would definitely buy from them again (possibly in the
coming months,
if all goes well).
Sandy
We are happy to report that this little guy is doing very well
thanks to Katherine, and Sandy just purchased her second
Bugg from us.
We totally understand that a cheaper Bugg could be
gotten, as they are being listed anywhere from 400.00 to
1800.00 (Pet land prices) We ask that you please save
yourself the heart break of trying to save a buck and do
yourself and your children a huge favour and do your
research! Make sure you are getting the best bang for your
dollar and insure the breeder you are getting your Bugg
from has a clue!!!
